The word flexibility has multiple meanings and varies from person to person.   For some, flexibility means bendable, pliable, malleable, moldable, adaptability and resilient.  For others, it means open to new ideas, willing to compromise and see from another’s point of view.

To know and understand your flexibility quotient, join me in the following experiment.  For the next 48 hours record the number of times, you say NO to yourself or to another.  This experiment requires you to be mindful and pay careful attention.  At the end of 48 hours, add up the number of times you said no and your flexibility quotient will be revealed.

In this experiment, there is no right/wrong, pass/fail, or judgments.  There is only our ability to become more compassionate, kind, understanding and of course flexible.
